Chinatown's First Micro-Hotel Expected to Deliver by 2016

Construction for Chinatown's first micro-hotel is expected to break ground in April 2015. The $60 million development is part of a joint venture between developers Monument Realty and Modus Hotels. Originally, the duo planned on building an 80,000-square-foot office-and-retail project for the site at 627 H Street NW, as reported by Washington Business Journal. Instead, the site will house 245 small, but affordable hotel rooms along with 4,600-square-feet of ground-floor retail space. According to District Source, the 11-story building will not have parking. The development is expected to deliver in 2016.
