After two years of construction, Baltimore's 379-unit apartment complex, The Icon Residences, is expected to open by October of 2015. The complex is part of a massive mixed-use development called The Rotunda that includes approximately 130,000-square-feet of retail space and 140,000-square-feet of existing office space. Some of the amenities at The Icon Residences will include a swimming pool, clubroom, fitness center with a yoga room, and parking access from every floor. According to a press release, the Icon Residences will feature reclaimed wood beams, laser cut metals, embossed concrete tiles, and an overall neutral color palette with occasional orange, green, and blue highlights. While there is no word yet on the pricing for the apartments, the residences will be targeted to a wide range of consumers from students at Johns Hopkins University to empty-nesters. Additional construction is expected to finish by spring of 2016. The cost of constructing the Icon Residences as well as redeveloping The Rotunda totals to $100 million
