140 Units to Replace Parking Lot Across Meridian Hill Park

Plans are in the works for 140 residential units and about 90 parking spaces to be constructed across from Meridian Hill Park. As reported by UrbanTurf, the project will be located at 2350 16th Street NW, which is currently being used as a parking lot. The land is owned by the non-profit, The Meridian International Center, which plans to also build a meeting space in the building. Because neighboring buildings on the site are historically protected, the project will be reviewed by Historic Preservation Review Board in March. The ANC 1C will review the project on February 18.
