Sound The Alarm!

For several years, Metro officials knew that a crucial alarm system didn't work. The alarm system would warn of outages if the Metro emergency radio network didn't work. Fire officials were never informed of this issue. According to The Washington Post, it's not clear whether or not the faulty alarm system would have given firefighters earlier notice of the radio outage in the Yellow Line incident on January 12, 2015.
