A vacant office building in Pentagon City was approved to be redeveloped into two 20-story towers. One tower will hold 150 condo units, and the second tower will hold 300 rental units. The development is named The Altaire and will be located at 400 Army Navy Drive. The development will be certified LEED Gold and will feature floor-to-ceiling glass facades, balconies, and amenities like a swimming pool, fitness center, and rooftop terrace. Old South Eads Street will be removed during construction to become a pedestrian walk. Construction will begin later this year with an expected completion by the second quarter of 2018.
