Despite $100K Price Chop, This Potomac Manse Is Still Pretty Stunning

In Potomac Maryland's Avenel community, one can find business execs, developers, diplomats, doctors, and this oh-so-stunning single-family home. The five-bedroom mansion was first listed August 7, 2014 for $3.5 million, but just recently experienced a roughly $100,000 price chop, dropping it down to the current $2.595 million. The 7,600-square-foot single-family home offers a little over half an acre of land as well as luxurious qualities like an outdoor pool and grill, patio, and three-car garage. Inside the listing, there is plaster detailing throughout, ceiling centerpieces, tray ceilings, and coffered ceilings. In an April 2007 publication, Washingtonian described Avenel as a bucolic community with brick, stone, and stucco single-family homes that often range from $1.5 million to $10 million. Throughout the neighborhood, one can find a private golf course with 220 acres of land as well as a nearby country club.
