New, 1 comment

'Tis the season for holiday cheer and sparkling lights. To find the best holiday light displays in the D.C. area, national real estate brokerage Redfin listed the top five cities to get in the holiday spirit. Four of the areas listed are located in Virginia (i.e., Alexandria, Arlington, Chantilly, and Fairfax). The fifth and final featured area is Garrett Park, a town in Montgomery County, Maryland. Be sure to check out the list to find out more details about each area.

If interested in knowing which areas of D.C. proper should be noted for holiday lights, be sure to check out the National Zoo's ZooLights. Until January 2, the National Zoo will feature a free seasonal display with over 500,000 environmentally-friendly LED lights as well as live musical performances. The admission is free, and the hours and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The National Zoo will be closed on December 24, 25, and 31.
