Former House Majority Leader Buys $1.7M Arlington Home

New, 4 comments

Since retiring from his position as House Majority Leader in August 2014, it looks like Eric Cantor has been doing some house hunting and just recently closed on this Arlington single-family home. Washington Business Journal was the first to report that Cantor purchased this six-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom abode that was first listed in July 2015 for $1.795 million. This Tuesday, Cantor paid only $1.7 million for the listing. The last time it was sold was in 2004 for $1.45 million. Inside, you can find a fully finished basement, high ceilings, a stone fireplace, and tray ceilings. Other highlights include a wet bar and a rear deck. Cantor previously served as House Minority Whip and currently serves as the Vice Chair and Managing Director of investment bank Moelis & Company.
