What better way to get a waterfront view than from a houseboat? This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the fourth annual Southwest DC Waterfront Boat-Home Tour will feature over 20 houseboats, housebarges, trawlers, and sailboats that D.C. residents call home. One previous tour included a converted World War II-era tugboat, and this year, you'll find some green boats that grow vegetables on deck. Be sure you buy a ticket before the event as the tour is expected to sell out. Proceeds from the ticket sales will support local charities in the Southwest Waterfront neighborhood.
