Brookland Metro Redevelopment Delayed Until Late 2019

Two parcels of land surrounding the Brookland Metro station will be redeveloped with 280 residential units, 9,000-square-feet of ground-floor retail, 228 parking spaces, and a new 35-space Kiss and Ride lot, as reported by the Washington Business Journal. Don't expect any progress on the redevelopment for the next five or so years, though. The redevelopment won't break ground until late 2019 or 2020, three years later than planned. For PUD approval, the developer predicts the process to take four years.
