Agents from Virginia have to use a completely new residential sales contract, straying away from the regional contract they shared with Washington and Maryland for over a decade. The reasons for ridding themselves of the regional contract is due to four reasons: to reduce the length of contracts, reduce confusion, reduce liability, and "expire an obsolete model of inter-jurisdictional core contracts," according to The Washington Post.
