Prediction: Woodridge Will Be Hottest D.C. 'Hood of 2015

Now that the New Year is out of the way, it's time to take a few bets on which neighborhood in the District will be the hottest, the coolest, and the most popular for homebuyers in 2015. National real estate brokerage Redfin crunched some numbers and compiled a top five list of the hottest neighborhoods for the year. The predictions were made by looking at which neighborhoods experienced the most growth in total page views, favorites, and "hot homes" over the course of 2014. This year, Redfin predicted that Woodridge would be the hottest neighborhood in the District as well as the tenth hottest neighborhood in the nation. If you see the list, though, you'll notice something kind of funny. Four out of the five hottest neighborhoods on the Washington, D.C. list aren't even in Washington, D.C. According to Redfin, "affordability is once again buyers' top concern." So, does that mean buyers will completely avoid Washington, D.C. overall? What gives?

Last year, we were just as perplexed about Redfin's prediction that Upper Chevy Chase would be the hottest Washington, D.C. neighborhood of 2014 as well as the fourth hottest neighborhood in the nation. Regardless of whether or not it makes sense now, we'll see what happens, and if Redfin's predictions are right or wrong. For now, take a look at Redfin's top five list, and vote for whether or not you think their predictions will be accurate.
