The plans for the Carnegie Library additions have become significantly less intense. The International Spy Museum announced from their plans to move from their home on 800 F Street into the Mt. Vernon Square library about a year ago, but the new large glass additions didn't fly with the Historic Preservation Review Board. These new images show a decidedly toned down take on the pavilions that will house the Spy Museum's gift shop and a D.C. visitor center. The back of the library isn't blocked in any way (which had been a previous complaint of the HPRB) and the ceilings of the wings don't appear to fan out the way they had previously. Take a look at the rest of the new renderings after the jump.
