The Corcoran's galleries won't officially close until October 1st but on Saturday, there will be a farewell hug/moment of silence/goodbye activities starting at 2:30 p.m. The financially beleaguered museum and college has been officially dissolved and the art work within the gorgeous building's walls will see a new home at the National Gallery of Art.
