As Construction Starts, Tenley View Shows Off End Product

Tenleytown hasn't been a happening 'hood in regards to new development in some time, but between the Georgetown Day School expansion, the apartments planned for the Steak 'n Egg location and the construction of Tenley View, this northwest neighborhood is getting its share of action. That Tenley View finally broke ground in April was something of a victory for the car-free contingent as this sixty-apartment building was successful in its bid to offer no parking. The process of getting parking exceptions has been notably difficult for other multi-family D.C. projects, so the success of this building in achieving this feat is not small. Stay tuned to this space as we find out just what will occupy the 13,985 square feet of retail space in the former Babe's Billiards location and check out the exterior renderings after the jump.
