Origin Story

It's common knowledge that most people living in the District hail from somewhere else, but there is a higher concentration of native New Yorkers than there are native Virginians or Marylanders. Admittedly, native Washingtonians still make up a larger portion of the population than any other specific group at 37%. Also, the native New Yorkers haven't totally taken over: there's a higher percentage of people living in D.C. that were born in another country. [WCP; Photo by Dale Sundstrom]
