Our First Look at the Wrecking Ball Dust That Was the NGA

The former home of the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) is finally toast. In November and December, various local artists turned the doomed building into a giant mural/art installation in advance of its demolition. By May, the destruction was partially complete, making Kelly Towles' giant dinosaur look all the more sinister. Now, there's almost nothing standing on this street corner, save signs on the surrounding fencing advertising the increasingly large Navy Yard development The Yards. Take a look at the complete wreckage left at the corner of 1st and M Street SE after the jump.
