The Wharf officially broke ground in March, and now more details have emerged on its first condo project. Mega-developer PN Hoffman has announced that the name of the four-story building across from Arena Stage will be 600 Water Street and that it will have 108 condos. This rendering showcases the numerous private balconies, but what it does not show are the building's landscaped courtyards, complete with water fountains. New residents can also expect a resident's club room with bar and kitchen and 94 underground parking spaces.
Currently, St. Augustine's Church sits on that site, but it's going to be wrecking ball dust before the end of the summer. It, too, will reappear in its shiny new, revamped state by 2016 directly next to the condos of 600 Water Street. Although it'll take twenty months to build the condos, sales could start as early as next year.
