The Park Morton complex seems to be ready to do a 180 degree turn after a tumultuous couple of months. First, in February the D.C. Housing Authority cancelled the contract with the first developer of this Park View housing development and then more recently, they had to do damage control when a nasty complaint about the complex's conditions (which was quickly deemed false) showed up on popular neighborhood blog, PoPville. But now the Housing Authority has revealed that there are four teams, all multi-team partnerships that have decided on eerily similar names, competing to finish the project. The completion of the Park Morton revitalization will cost roughly $40 million and the city will choose either Park Morton Partners, Park View Commons, Park View Partners or Park View Community Partners to finish the job by the end of the calendar year.
