Yarn Bomb Has Spread to Other Side of Monroe Street Bridge

Back in February, guerrilla knitting crew, the Brookland Bombshells left a colorful array of smiley faces, flowers and stars on the Monroe Street Bridge. A harbinger of gentrification, perhaps, but also a bright welcome sign to anyone coming through the artist-heavy neighborhood of Brookland. The bright swatches of that yarn bomb have faded somewhat, but that's okay, because now they've decorated the other side of the bridge as well. The artwork on the southern side of the fence isn't as dense, but it incorporates some other elements besides yarn. There are now shoes and hoodies that have become a part of the Bombshell's knitting creations. Have a full look at their work after the jump.
