Look Out H Street Whole Foods, Condos Moving in Next Door

New, 1 comment

H Street's condo takeover continues as at least thirty more plush pads will pop up next to the planned H Street Whole Foods. Even before the famed organic grocer announced their plan to take up residence on H Street's 600 block, thereby razing most of what's there, there were rumblings about converting the drab office buildings next door into condos. Now, it's officially happening: Cornerstone Development Group and Rock Creek Property Group have picked up the 7,000 square feet of land at a cost of $4.525 million. The condos are only a part of the planned project, which will also include 6,000 square feet of retail. Construction will start within nine months to a year, at which point the streetcar might actually be running.
