When last this one bedroom co-op with the truly unfortunate color scheme went on the market, it seemed less like a golden opportunity and more like a dare. On one hand, it was this close to the corner of 14th & U and asking only a hair over $121K. On the other hand, it's on the fourth floor of a co-op with no elevator and the color scheme of the living area looks like it was picked out by an autumn-happy five-year-old. Surprise, surprise, the contract fell through and the price has been dramatically slashed to $51,000, which is low even by D.C.'s co-op standards. But hey, they've also cleaned up the place, so now you can get a good look at the Grimace-purple bedroom as well.
