Summer blockbuster season has clearly extended to the real estate market. Even with a $6 million chop off the original asking price, the $20 million sale of the Patterson Mansion is the most expensive in D.C. this year. In fact, it's the most expensive residential sale since 2011. Sorry, Williams-Addison House, but you got to hold the title for a couple of months. SB Urban's purchase of the historic four-story mansion bodes well for the luxury micro-units that they've proposed. The previous time the Dupont mansion went under contract back in October, the deal fell through. It seemed the Historic Preservation Review Board was not keen on French Quarter Hospitality's boutique hotel plans. Take a look at some updated photos of the mansion courtesy of broker TTR Sotheby's after the jump.
