When D.C. put in a bid to host the 2024 Olympics last summer, it was almost universally received as a silly idea that probably wouldn't come to fruition anyway. But in today's, "Oh wait, you're being serious" moment, it's been revealed that D.C. is still receiving heavy consideration from the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) as a possible future host city. D.C. is one of six American cities whose name is still being tossed around, but it was also in early consideration for America's 2012 bid (which went to New York) and 2020 bid (which went to Chicago). Additionally, they're up against a former Olympic host city (Los Angeles) and it's unclear that D.C. residents even want the games here. This is the city that still hasn't come to an agreement over one soccer stadium. As such, we're polling you, Curbed readers. Do you want to see the Olympics come to D.C.? Cast your vote.
