Ten Stunning Photos of this Old Memorial to Fallen Journalists

Sometimes the area's memorials are hidden from public consciousness, not because they're small or unknown because they're just outside of city limits. This stunning glass monument in Rosslyn's Freedom Park paid tribute to journalists who lost their lives in the line of work. The installation was removed in 2008 and now the names of those fallen journalists are etched in a gallery inside the Newseum. In fact, the Newseum (and The Freedom Forum which is in charge of the museum's operations) was responsible for the creation of the park in the mid-1990s. So, although this spiraling memorial is gone, it's not forgotten. Here are ten impressive reminders of the gorgeous glass structure that once stood across the river.
