Researchers from the University of Maryland have found that along the sixteen mile Purple Line, most commutes will decrease and most property values will increase. They found that particularly Chevy Chase Lake, which is in an area of Maryland between the two ends of the Red Line, would see a significant drop in commute time due to having a nearby Purple Line station.
