If you need proof that local architect Mark McInturff is a force to be reckoned with, just check out his list of awards. It includes several from the American Institute of Architects and dates back to the mid-1980s. For more proof check out this three bedroom home in Foxhall that shows off his design prowess. This isn't a normal Northwest home, and not just because it looks like an observatory from the back. The use of metal in everything from the kitchen accents to the stairway really gives the place a contemporary feel. The $1.525M house is filled with light and the library bookcases are actually built into the windows. Also, it overlooks the Georgetown Reservoir. Take a look inside.
