Anyone walking around Mount Vernon Triangle yesterday afternoon may have noticed something odd: moving townhouses. A tip about these moving homes came through the tip line and sure enough as one stood on Eye Street, across Massachusetts Avenue from the massive pit where the NPR building used to be, it was possible to see this townhouse on hydraulics and a truck with the name of a house moving company on the street out front. As for what's going up in these homes' stead: a LEED Platinum office building that will include private balconies and an outdoor conference area.
