Freeland Park is getting a major overhaul that will give the Mayland park open lawn area, an event staging site and a more formal entrance with stairs. The new designs were presented yesterday and all of them are keeping the popular fenced-in playground in the back corner. But don't get too excited yet, the approval process is probably going to drag out to December, or even January of next year. The Parks department is seeking input before they go to the budgeting stage.
