Another Signal That Silver Line Service Will Run One Day Maybe

Welcome to another week where the Silver Line continues to toy with the metro area's expectations. Just two weeks ago word came out that the line was not "substantially complete" as the Dulles Transit partners had previously said. It turns out that Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and WMATA don't find leaky stations, non working elevators, track gage problems or incomplete documentation to be good indicators of "substantially complete." So, there's still no opening date anywhere in sight but a silver line has now appeared on this above ground metro pole. This isn't a Virginia station, either. This is at Federal Center SW and the D.C. stations took a little longer to add the Silver Line to their in-station signage. Way to keep the optimism up, Silver Line.
