What Became of a Popular 1891 Electrical Shop's Headquarters

The fate of this Washington Construction Company location on 12th Street is actually pretty unglamorous. At the time it was notable enough to warrant a photo in the Sunday Herald and Weekly National Intelligencer since the four year old company had just moved to a larger location. Electricity was still new and the Washington Construction Company was a very popular business in terms of bringing that new technology to homes and offices. Now this Metro Center address is a parking garage in between a Guess and a Radio Shack and below a handful of offices. Unremarkable as this transformation may sound, it's still pretty fun to watch the passage of time from 1891 to 2014 happen immediately by sliding a bar. Have at it.
