Metro Taking a Break From Track Work. This Is Not A Test.

No need to adjust your screen, Metro really is taking a four week break from weekend track work this spring. The reprieve will start on Saturday March 22nd and run through Sunday April 13th. We have the cherry blossoms to thank for this time off of shuttle buses and alternate routes. Says Metro CEO and General Manager Richard Sarles of this decision, "While the weekend work is necessary to rebuild the system's infrastructure, we are in a position to take a few weekends off to allow the region's residents and tourists to enjoy the season." What's more, Metro will also run more of the longer eight-car trains over these track work free weekends. It's a spring miracle.
