Thinking Big

Micro-units may be on the rise, but that doesn't mean that a millennial can't think bigger. A new nine-unit building is beginning move-in this month with larger floor plans and lower prices. In Shaw, The Oslo at 1734 6th Street, NW is providing three three-bedroom apartments (under 1,000-square-feet) and six four-bedroom apartments (about 1,400-square-feet). Prices are starting at $1,298 per bedroom. Martin Ditto, president of Ditto Residential, said, "A lot of my development friends think we're crazy, but truthfully, over the past year and a half, it's become more and more obvious that it was a calculated risk."
