Is it possible for a 120-unit residential building to have no parking lot? Despite the D.C. Board of Zoning Adjustment's requirement for large-scale housing to have parking spaces, the developer will attempt to persuade the Board that parking spaces in Shaw just aren't necessary. The project is in a walkable community with bike- and car-sharing services in M Street NW and 9th Street NW. The building will be located on 90 and 91 Blagden Alley with both buildings connected by a pedestrian bridge. [WaPo]
