Tastes change, and now it looks like we can see how homebuyers feel the same way. Chief Executive of Houseplans.com James Roche has tracked what floor plans homebuyers are more inclined to buy and how that's changed over the past 10 years. Homebuyers want open floor plans, more in-law suites, garages with a living space above, larger porches and sheltered patios, and the dining room to not be a separate space. Additionally, while building a main house, many homebuyers are buying plans for a second unit or an in-law suite. [WaPo]
