EATER AWARDS—All week long, Eater readers have been voting on which local restaurants, bars, chefs and bartenders should win the 2014 Eater Awards. See the nominees for D.C.'s restaurant of the year, chef of the year, hottest restaurant of the year, bartender of the year and vote today for which restaurant is 2014's stone cold stunner.

CELEBWIRE—Alton Brown found some good D.C. eats at District Doughnut, Ben's Chili Bowl and Oyamel.

DUPONT CIRCLE—New, historically-themed cocktail bar McClellan's Retreat opened this week in the space formerly occupied by Veritas.

MOUNT VERNON TRIANGLE—It's officially the end of the road for Derek Brown's cocktail bars The Passenger and Columbia Room — at least in their current locations. The bars will close January 1, and the Columbia Room will reopen at the end of 2015 above Jeremiah Langhorne's upcoming Shaw restaurant The Dabney, while The Passenger's new home is TBD in Shaw.

U STREET—Starting November 24, 1905 Restaurant will close briefly while it renovates its kitchen and dining room
