Plans for U Street Corridor

On Monday, a planned unit development was filed with the Zoning Commission for a 319-unit mixed-used development at 901 Barry Place, NW. Planned by Howard University, the six-story building will include 11,500-square-feet of retail and 145 parking spaces. The development will be located on a 1.35-acre site that currently holds a vacant warehouse building, six row houses (five are vacant), and a surface parking lot. [UT; WBJ]
