For the month of October, home prices were the highest they've been at since 2005. RealEstate Business Intelligence reported that home prices were 5.3 percent higher than from October 2013. The region's median sales price rose to $400,000, while D.C. proper rose to $500,000. UrbanTurf reported that homes sold faster, inventory grew, and closed sales were stronger than average.
