The proposal for the D.C. United stadium at Buzzard Point has received numerous critiques from residents. Complaints focus on the complicated landswap and the developer's control of the Reeves Center. Other complaints included the whether the large crowds that would fill the stadium's 20,000 seats could be handled along with sufficient parking. D.C. United spokesperson Victor Melara said that the project would be beneficial for the city by increasing revenue, outreach, and advertising. [WCP; Curbed] - Michelle Goldchain
