Now that the multi-million dollar renovation is finally complete, guests can look forward to a little R&R at Embassy Suites at Chevy Chase Pavilion. The hotel includes 198 two-room suites with a newly designed open entrance and lobby, expanded restaurant and lounge, new bar, upgraded suites, renewed health club, and enlarged public areas . The contemporary design of the hotel features glass and silver accents as well as a water wall located behind the reception desk.
The entrance is twice its former size with five new seating areas, a video lounge, and The District Boardroom, a space for impromptu business meetings. During the renovations, there was an overhaul of all of the guest suites that now range from 600- to 800-square-feet. With calm lighting and an earthy color scheme, the new design is meant to create an "'at-home' residential feel," according to the Embassy Suite's press release. A newly installed bar, called Willie's Bar, is 2,000-square-feet with 22 seats, more than 100 top-shelf spirits, wines, and local draft and bottled beers. The bar was named in remembrance of the hotel's recently deceased sous chef, Wilfredo Benavides, One percent of all bar proceeds will go to the ALS Association for research related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's disease. The Embassy Suites at Chevy Chase Pavilion are located at 5335 Wisconsin Avenue Northwest.
