Commuting isn't great, and if you're driving between suburban Maryland and downtown Washington, it looks like things are going to get worse. Starting Feburary 2015, 16th Street Bridge will undergo construction for an 11-month project, causing the 30,000 cars and buses that use the bridge each weekday to be reduced to using only one lane in each direction.
