VIDA Fitness' grand opening at the Yards is one step closer to reality. Construction on this anchor to the Navy Yard mega-complex begins on Saturday. Some of the five existing VIDA Fitness Centers in the area have the affiliated Bang Salon or Aura Spa attached, but this four story, 30,000 square foot monstrosity will have both and the city's second Penthouse Pool & Lounge. As with VIDA's U Street location, expect to see the Penthouse Pool & Lounge on the roof. In fact, that rooftop pool will be the first phase of the complex to open! Penthouse Pool & Lounge is due for an early July opening, Bang Salon for mid-July, VIDA Fitness for August and Aura Spa for October. Additionally, this will be VIDA's first location with an Experiential Cycling Studio and a Kids Zone play area.
