The former St. John Church of God on the corner of 13th and H Street NE has officially been sold for $2.2 million. The private investment group that made the purchase has stated their interest in either leasing the 6100 square foot parcel for the purposes of a restaurant or entertainment or turning it into a mixed use development. The church is directly across the street from the R. L. Christian Library which may also see a new life as an apartment building with retail if the folks from Fundrise go through with purchasing the land on that street corner. And the transformation of H Street NE continues.
