Enjoy these views from the Washington Monument from the 1960s? So did tipster Boris Feldblyum who sent in these photos he took from the Monument in 1980 and 1981. Not all of the views correspond — in this gallery there are no shots looking across the river into Rosslyn. However, in the shots of the Reflecting Pool in the 1980s, it's possible to see there's a pond where the temporary Army and Navy buildings stood twenty years earlier. They'd been demolished in 1970.
