Which 2BR Condo Under $425K Feels Like Home?

Welcome to this week's Real Estate Death Match! Last week, a cozy condo from Adams Morgan decimated a co-op from Logan Circle. It seems that co-ops, no matter how large and beautiful they may be will lose by virtue of being co-ops. Well both abodes are condos this week and we're going into some neighborhoods uncharted by this set of competitions for Real Estate Death Match: Bloomingdale vs. Petworth Edition!

? Address: 1839 1st Street NW Apt #2
Price: $424,555
Square Feet: 1,100
Beds, Baths: 2/2

This sunny Bloomingdale condo has a great mix of new amenities and old structures. The first rate kitchen is a great juxtaposition with the bay windows and gas fireplace. Plus, we love the natural light throughout including a kitchen skylight. Although, admittedly, the window in the shower is a bit weird.

? Address: 4306 Arkansas Avenue NW Apt #303
Price: $409,000
Square Feet: 1,004
Beds, Baths: 2/1

The corner condo in this Petworth/16th Street Heights building is a little smaller, but also doesn't cost as much as the Bloomingdale option. This is another example of new renovations bringing new life to an old building. The kitchen is the most obvious example of modern touches. This building also has a parking space and a storage area which looks like it's currently filled with bicycles.
