Check Out These Awesome Photos of Metro's Construction

Fun fact: WMATA has actually been posting these vintage construction photos to their Facebook page since late 2011 (and hasn't actually updated the page with anything new in about a year). Still, thanks to Greater Greater Washington, we were redirected to this awesome gallery and figured we'd share some of the most interesting construction shots with you. The photos in the gallery date from 1974 until 1997 (no Silver Line pictures!) and feature a few aerial construction shots as well as some underground gems. Also, we think that the part of the Fort Totten Station where the Green and Yellow Line trains enter the tunnel heading towards D.C. looks remarkably similar today.
