GEORGETOWN — Cleveland Park independent bookstore Politics & Prose may branch out to Georgetown. Politics & Prose co-owner Bradley Graham told Washingtonian that they are looking at the now-vacant Georgetown Theater building on Wisconsin Avenue. The Georgetown outpost of Politics & Prose would have the same elements of the original bookstore, with a coffeehouse component and an author talk program. [Washingtonian]

ARLINGTON — Travelers in need of stretchy undergarments should be excited about the news that Spanx is coming to Reagan National Airport. According to ARLNow, the airport's food and retail redevelopment program will bring new restaurants and new shops like Spanx, Lacoste, Vineyard Vines and Brighton Collectibles. BETHESDA — National franchise Pure Barre is rapidly adding locations in the Washington area. The barre studio just opened a location in Dupont Circle in the spring, and now they are headed to downtown Bethesda, too. Robert Dyer reports that the barre studio will open sometime in November in the Shoppes of Bethesda. Meanwhile, the Pure Barre Fairfax studio located at 4201 Ridge Top Road is set to open on September 20th, and Alexandria, Reston and McLean are all listed as "coming soon" on Pure Barre's website.
