Mayor Vince Gray must have been truly appalled by the Washington Post investigation on tax lien sales, because he and Chief Financial Officer Natwar Gandhi have cancelled all tax lien sales for 2013. This cancellation will affect the 142 homes that were headed towards foreclosure. Furthermore, tax lien sales from previous years that will lead to the foreclosure of District homes might also be cancelled. [WCP]
