Earlier this week we shared some photos and interviews from the opening of Blind Whino, the art club made from the converted church in Southwest D.C. This opening coincided with the start of the month long G40 Arts Summit. We also learned at the Blind Whino opening that the Summit partnered with Heineken Mural Project as many of the muralists were at the opening. The four world class artists, Aniekan from D.C., Brendan Tierney from Virginia, EVER from Buenos Aires, Argentina and Rubin from New York each had a space wherein they interpreted the phrase "Open Your World." Check out the photos that Gerry Suchy snapped of the four murals in advance of tomorrow night's opening reception for the G40 Art Summit. Also, to find out more about the murals themselves, go visit them. Most of them are in NoMa and all have a QR code which will tell you more about the artists and their work.
