Plans for the Showplace Icon theater near Navy Yard are moving forward since the local ANC has thrown its support behind the project. In addition to the sweet theater, more than 600 apartments will be coming to the area. Just understand that this project won't reach completion until at least 2016 since DC Water will have to move.
